I always wonder how some of these traditions have started.
Why forgive turkey, while it is the humans that are carving them into pieces and gobbling them up? Shouldn’t the one’s who are eating them ask for the turkey’s forgiveness?

Asian Indians on TV -portrayal
I fully sympathise with the striking writers for their fair share in the profits. But I also want to ask them to stop portraying Indians as “dumb foreigners” before another Imus type of debate flares up. One good look around is enough to see that that kind of stupidity is gone long time ago. It is not humorous any more. Even grandmothers who are visiting their sons and daughters are not that dumb any more.
And, you Asian Indians, why don’t you register your protest and ask the tv and movie producers to stop it.

Telugu people on TV images
Hello,
I was watching the big bang theory and other tv shows. I am surprised that the kind of images of Indians projected on TV and movies. India is changing in leaps and bounds, and our young men and women are progressing per western traditions. Yet, on TV, they keep referring to arranged marriages and extended families as if they are unspeakable. Why not present the way they are now?
Why don’t Indians in America try to educate these tv and movie moguls about the changing values in India?

Democracy
Okay, I am being naive, I admit. The President claims America is the greatest nation on the planet and he is avowed to spread democracy around the world.
How anyone can call it democracy when 68% of the Americans are disagreeing with his policy. Isn’t it a contradiction?
Why America is blaming Chinese for defective toys and stuff. When I want a plumber, I would check references. Here, the big bosses in our companies employed workers in other countries without checking the outcome. Whose fault is that?
